Green Grass Music strives to develop
well-rounded musicians, teaching more
than simply note-reading, by
incorporating:
- the use of manipulatives and
movement to engage the student in more
active learning
- ear training
- harmonization (playing by ear)
- rhythm
- sight-reading
- technical/theory skills (scales,
arpeggios, chords, etc.)
- composition and improvisation
- music history
- playing fun and appropriate
literature
